Hi, I'm Chelsea, owner and founder of House of Wren.

My love affair with design started early. As a kid, my parents gave me free rein to decorate my own room, and let's just say I wasn't afraid to go bold. I still laugh thinking about those couple of years when I chose a paint colour called "honeydew" , it was so bright it practically glowed in the dark.

Growing up, I was lucky to help my parents with renovations, which gave me a real appreciation for hands-on work. That experience stuck with me—I've continued transforming my own homes as an adult, and during my time as a Realtor, I have worked with large purchasers on new build projects, where you quickly learn how many moving pieces need to align for everything to go smoothly. I also studied Residential Interiors at the University of Alberta, which has given me a strong basis for technical aspects of the job as well as connected me to pivotal partners. All of these experiences have sharpened my creative eye and business sense—both essential for executing successful design projects.

I deeply believe in the transformative power of a beautiful, comfortable space because I have lived it! The right environment doesn't just house your life—it elevates it, nurtures it, and reflects the very best of who you are. I can't think of anything more exciting than creating that experience for others in their own unique spaces.

My dream project? Restoring a mid century home to its original glory while thoughtfully updating it for contemporary living. There's something special about honouring the architectural integrity of these classic designs while breathing new life into them. If you love a good conversation piece, we're going to get along perfectly. There's nothing I enjoy more than discovering and highlighting those unique elements that make guests pause, smile, and ask, "Where did you get that?"

In my down time, you'll find me playing games with my family, catching live shows around Edmonton with friends, or—if you happen to be at the Winspear and love movie scores—you might even spot me singing in the Choir.

I'm looking forward to hearing all about your project!
